PROLOGUE — THE DISCLAIMER

Fade in:

A black screen.
White serif text appears:

**“This island specializes in two things: silence and secrets.

Every witness disappears eventually.

The rest of us are left to guess which truth killed them.”**

Cut to:

A battered manila file drops onto an oak courtroom table.
Stamped in red:

THE BRIDGE ACCOUNTS — CONFIDENTIAL
Deferred.Network / Executrix.Net — Internal Memorandum

A gloved hand opens it.

Inside:
Ledger fragments.
Smudged wire-transfer slips.
A photograph of a smelter glowing orange.
And a single typed line:

“When brothers and sisters go to war, money is all that you can score.”

Smash cut to black.

ACT I — THE ISLAND OF GLASS
Scene 1 — Arrival

NARRATOR (V.O.)
They call Veridian Isle a jewel of financial engineering.
A secrecy jurisdiction wrapped in ocean fog and polite accents.
To me, it was the place that ate my family alive.

MICHAEL POOLER, 58, former tech entrepreneur turned reluctant whistle‑client, steps off a ferry clutching a leather briefcase.
He scans the harbor — yachts, glass towers, camera‑quiet streets.

He is here to confront what he believes is the truth behind five decades of missing inheritances and mysterious “accidents.”

Behind him, a pair of unmarked government officers exchange a glance.

ACT II — THE ADVISER
Scene 4 — The Confessional Boardroom

Michael sits across from ANNE CALLMER, a meticulous adjudication adviser for the island’s Mental Health Benefit Review Board — but in truth, she moonlights doing private investigative work for clients who suspect their estates have been mishandled.

She slides over a form.

ANNE
All information between us stays confidential…
unless someone is in danger.
Or a court compels disclosure.

Michael signs.

MICHAEL
Danger’s why I’m here.

Anne opens a folder titled THE POOLE PAPERS.

ANNE
Your domain portfolio… the trusts… the variation orders… All roads lead to the same structure: The Bridge Accounts.

MICHAEL
What are they?

ANNE
A mechanism.
A system so old it predates the island’s constitution.
It launders money, but more importantly—
It launders people.

ACT III — THE LAWYER
Scene 7 — Enter the Canny Bunch

Michael meets JONATHAN SCHOLE, senior partner at Canny & Cleft, a sleek offshore trust law firm.
Charming.
Effortlessly intelligent.
A predator disguised as a consultant.

SCHOLE
You’re seeking a variation of your mother’s trust.
Very complicated work.
Cross‑border.
Multi‑generational.

He pours coffee.

SCHOLE (cont’d)
This island doesn’t convict people for financial crimes, Mr. Pooler.
One in a thousand — if that.
Why?
Because the system works.
Everyone plays their part.

He smiles.

SCHOLE
So will you.

ACT IV — THE ACCIDENT
Scene 11 — Night Road

Michael drives along a cliff road.
Headlights behind him.
Too close.

Text from Anne flashes:
“Do NOT meet Schole without me. Call when safe.”

The vehicle behind accelerates.

Michael swerves—
The cliff edge comes fast—

A masked biker appears from nowhere, forcing the trailing car off course.

Michael brakes hard, shaking, alive.

The biker removes her helmet.

It’s Anne.

ANNE
You weren’t paranoid.
They were staging another “accident.”

ACT V — THE BRIDGE
Scene 15 — Revelation in a Warehouse

Inside an abandoned customs warehouse, Anne reveals the truth.

Blueprints.
Flowcharts.
Organograms.

The Bridge Accounts sit at the center of a triangle:

Tourism → Offshore Finance → Agricultural Subsidies
A closed loop.
Self‑reinforcing.
Self‑protecting.

ANNE
It’s not a criminal syndicate.
It’s a governance model.
They don’t need to kill you out of malice.
They kill people out of policy.

ACT VI — THE LAST MOTION
Scene 18 — The Court of Final Appeal

Michael stands in the ancient stone courtroom of Veridian Isle.

He files a motion:

“Petition for Disclosure of the Bridge Accounts.”

The entire island’s elite is present — bankers, ministers, attorneys, financiers. A chessboard of polite menace.

CHIEF JUSTICE CORWIN
Mr. Pooler…
Do you understand that if you proceed,
every secret the island guards
will become adversarial evidence?

Michael breathes deeply.

MICHAEL
Yes, Your Honor.
That is the point.

ACT VII — THE TWIST
Scene 21 — The Envelope

Anne meets Michael at dawn.

She hands him a sealed envelope.

ANNE
Inside is the name you’ve been searching for.
The one who ordered the attempt on your life in 1994.
The same person who issued the variation order in 2024.
The architect of the Bridge Accounts.

Michael stares at the envelope.

Does he open it?

Does he walk away?

Fade to black.
